i have just picked dates for some close to home and far away adventures. i would love to spend the day or the week with you. i really would. check out the dates my for retreats and see if you can join me!
hope to see you soon.
last night i spent a beautiful evening in the forest experiencing a drum being born. there was a fire and drumming and singing. such a healing circle. this forest, full of cedar and pines, by the river is where i offer retreats a few times a year.
i have a retreat at there, at riversound retreat, in a few weeks. i am so excited to spend the day there. teaching yoga and sharing raw food and the joys of spending time in the forest. after last night i am inspired to often “forest sitting” as part of our day. 45 minutes of simply sitting and receiving the forest. not walking. no writing or reading. just sitting still and experiencing whatever we experience.
what do you think about that?
i just received this email and i thought i would share. i feel so blessed to have been teaching yoga for almost 19 years now. i love what i do. and i love creating retreats. and it is so thrilling that others love what they experience. i hope you can join me someday too.
Thank YOU for such a wonderful day! Sorry for the late reply. I had a wonderful day with you all. A little bit of nurturing was exactly what I needed. And it started the moment I walked in the door and you helped me with my stuck coat zipper! I’m really glad I gave myself the gift of your retreat. Trying something new, recharging my batteries, and feeling a sense of communion with others – I experienced it all! The best, what I take from it most though, is the warmth of your kindness. So glad you do what you do! I always felt the love, even when ‘Mama Chantalle’ made me eat my greens and go outside for exercise! Happy I did though, it’s not every day that I get to roll down hills with new friends Rohen and I loved, loved, loved our pizza lunch with chocolate balls dessert the next day. Still thinking about the food! Yummm!
PS – I think you should be cloned. The world needs more Chantalles!”
there is something so rewarding about bringing people together. yesterday i got to do just that. a beautiful group of people gathered in the forest by the river. it was sunny and cold. the snow was deep. we played together all day. yoga, poetry, raw food. walking, river, snow sleeps. and tea. incredible forest tea. here are a few photos from our day retreat.
gotta love taking the day away!
the snow around here is amazing! my children and i are really enjoying it!
i am getting really excited about my upcoming february retreat. yoga in a yurt! do you want to come? we will hang out by the river! enjoy the forest and each other. we will eat awesome food and drink healing teas. and play at yoga!
we could even build a snowperson!
fresh cedar gathered by the river made a delicious tea for the end of our day. a sweet end (with a side of raw chocolate ganache and hand holding) to a beautiful retreat. today we came together in the snowy forest, by the river to do yoga in a yurt and read poetry. we write out our longings and let the forest hold everything. i think we gathered strength from one another. i always feel so blessed to share such days of quiet and contemplation. so blessed to feed others such yummy food. here is a little of what it looked like.
resting after two hours of yoga.
raw pizza fresh from the dehydrator!
